Meshkinshahr carpet is one of the rural light carpets that is woven in Meshkinshahr region located in Ardabil province in north western Iran. In this carpet, a symmetrical knot with cotton and woollen yarn and fabric is used. Geometry of common designs and lacquer, green, blue and crimson is one of the common colours of Meshkinshahr carpets.
What we see in the picture of the carpet is the flow of water around the carpet and the small flowers that are in the four corners of the carpet as well as in the middle of the carpet, and the regular and geometric image that shows the mental order of the weaver.
Among the carpets, there are star-shaped symbols that symbolize the desire to succeed and the hope of victory and success.
